Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what Anita Labs, Inc. collects through Transient, how it is used, and where your journal data lives.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. Introduction
Transient is a product of Anita Labs, Inc. (“Anita Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Transient mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Our design goal is to keep your durable journal and memory data on your device. Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information you provide
- Account details such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and account role.
- Astrology profile details such as birth date, optional birth time, birthplace, and time zone.
- Journal recordings, typed entries, transcripts, chat messages, prompts, and insights you create in the app.
- Preferences such as focus areas, guidance style, and notification choices.
- Support messages or other information you choose to send us.
3. Information collected automatically
We may receive technical information needed to operate and secure the Services, such as IP address, device and browser information, app version, crash information, approximate usage events, and dates and times of access. We may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication and basic site functionality.
4. How your information is used
- To create and secure your account and provide the Services.
- To save, transcribe, organize, and play back your journal entries.
- To provide requested prompts, insights, chat responses, and astrology-informed guidance.
- To remember your preferences, send requested notifications, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with law, and protect users and Anita Labs.
5. Local-first journal data
Recorded media, raw transcripts, chats, insights, memory facts, and embedding vectors are designed to remain in account-scoped storage on your device. The app may send a new transcript or a small, locally retrieved context to our gateway when you request analysis, guidance, or chat.
The gateway cannot pull your journal history from your device. It receives only the bounded information explicitly sent for a feature and is not intended to retain the full journal.
6. Information we share
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information:
- With service providers that help operate authentication, hosting, analytics, AI processing, astronomy data, email, security, and support.
- When required by law or legal process, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
- With your direction or consent.
The admin panel is restricted to authorized administrators and is limited to account metadata. It is not designed to expose journal content.
7. Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit where supported. No system or transmission method is completely secure.
We retain account information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Because much of your journal data is stored locally, deleting the app or its local data may affect your ability to recover it.
8. Your choices and rights
You may access or update available account information through the Services, and you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including rights to know, delete, correct, restrict, object to, or port certain information.
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, correct, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.
Send requests to support@strinkl.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Children’s privacy
Transient is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
10. International users and changes
Anita Labs is based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
